    Mavis Leavitt Varney, a beloved community member, dreamed of a musical center in Turner. After her passing in 2008, the community rallied together to build the Turner Center Gazebo in her honor, completing it in 2010. The gazebo showcases local musicians each Tuesday in the summer.
